L: Dan Sausville (7-6) SV: None | The Jackals have made it back to the postseason after a 9-3 victory over Quebec Monday evening. The Jackals needed a win or a Worcester loss to advance to the playoffs, and the Jackals took control of their own fate. Both teams exchanged runs in the first but after five, Quebec held a 3-2 lead. A six run sixth put New Jersey up 8-2. Jabe Bergeron's 19th homerun of the season highlighted the inning. The Jackals bullpen would hold Quebec scoreless as New Jersey went on to win the game. New Jersey will take on Quebec in the opening round of the playoffs, a best of five series slated to begin Wednesday night in Quebec. |
